As the name suggests, a tapping machine is a type of machine tool that uses a tap to process internal threads. It needs to follow certain precautions when using it. The daily maintenance of the tapping machine should take into account all parts and system components.
Precautions for operation of tapping machine
1. The torque of a general torque clamp is set at the factory, but it must be adjusted and set again when dealing with stronger materials or after a period of use.
2. The torque clamp housing has 2 small holes, and it is agreed to make half a groove for torque adjustment, which is very important for adjusting torque control below M3.
3. Use a flathead screwdriver to lift the buckle ring, insert pointed nose pliers into the two circular holes on the torque adjustment ring, turn clockwise to add torque, and turn counterclockwise to reduce torque.
4. After adjustment, insert the buckle into the small hole of the clamp housing, and the torque will no longer change.
5. The torque clamp is a thread that ensures high precision, so it cannot be placed, thrown or dropped randomly to avoid affecting the tapping accuracy.
6. When the pneumatic motor does not rotate, the general situation is that the force is insufficient. Please check if the air pressure is adjusted to 6-8 KG.
7. When the pneumatic motor rotates and the torque clamp slips, it may be due to the material being too hard or having high viscosity. Please increase the torque of the torque clamp.
Maintenance of tapping machine
1. Tap the surface of the machine tool, remove and wash all covers, and ensure that the inside and outside are clean, free of rust, yellow coating, and the paint is natural and shiny. Clean the guide rail surface and remove burrs from the workbench. Check and complete the screws, handball, and handboard, and inspect the flexibility and stability of each handle.
2. Maintenance of the spindle feed box of the tapping machine: Check the oil quality, keep it good, and ensure that the oil level meets the requirements. Remove burrs from the spindle taper hole. Clean the hydraulic transmission system and oil filter screen, and adjust the oil pressure.
3. Inspection of the rocker arm and lifting clamping mechanism of the tapping machine: Check and adjust the lifting mechanism and clamping mechanism to achieve sensitivity and stability.
4. Inspection of the lubrication system of the tapping machine: Clean the oil felt, requiring complete oil cups, unobstructed oil circuits, and bright oil windows.
5. Inspection of the cooling system of the tapping machine: Clean the cooling pump, filter, and coolant tank. Check the coolant pipeline and ensure there is no water leakage.
6. Inspection of the electrical system of the tapping machine: Clean the dust inside and outside the motor and electrical box. Turn off the power, open the electrical door cover, and check if the electrical connectors and components are loose or aging. Check if the limit switch is working properly. Does the power-off function work when opening the door. Check if the hydraulic system is functioning properly and if there is any oil leakage. Are all electrical control switches functioning properly.
